I had some Christmas credit to spend at J. Crew (thanks, Greg!) and spent lots of time pouring over the website to find just the right thing. Why is it that you always find tons of things you want when you don't feel like spending money, but can't find anything at all with a couple hundred bucks in your pocket? Maybe it's the pressure, the feeling that you don't want to make the wrong decision and regret your purchase.
Anyway, during my investigating, I discovered two sections of the J. Crew website that I had never looked closely at before. One is
J. Crew Collection, their high-end line. There's actually a new Collection boutique in New York. Definitely a destination shop!
The other "mini-shop" on J. Crew's website is the
Designer Gallery. I imagine this will change frequently, the way Target features different designers on a regular basis. Here are some goodies I eyeballed:
The Designer Gallery items are by Panama, Superior Labor, Want Organic, Sperry, Ray Ban, Timex and Globe-Trotter, respectively.
